Ms. Riecha Kumar is the co-founder of illuminate - Psychological & Wellness Services. She is also a practising psychologist and an enthusiast for scientific research. Riecha was not someone who was always clear about having a career in psychology. She was a science student, who took up Biology in her 11-12th with a vision of studying genetics in the future. She did her Bachelors in Zoology (Hons) from the M.S. University of Baroda and was also awarded the Prof. R V Shah Gold Medal in Zoology for Excellence in Bachelors in the presence of Hon’ble President of India.

Somehow, working in a laboratory setting didn’t sound fulfilling to her and she always was passionate about helping others, and that is what motivated her to change streams from science to arts. She then took up a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical & Community Psychology from MSU, that acted as a bridge course between the two streams. She has also completed my Masters in Psychology with a specialisation in clinical. Along with psychology, she has a flair for arts and creativity, and is someone who has incorporated journaling as a part of her self-care routine. Presently, both Riecha and her partner passionately work towards mental health and wellness at illuminate.
